Under the general supervision of the Engineering Manager responsible for providing technical support and monitoring processes to ensure the manufacturing schedule is met with regard to delivery of quality parts on time to the customer. May instruct weld operators and maintenance technicians on methods; visually inspect and correct methods.

Essential Job Functions
Organizes and determines procedures and sequences, malfunctions and operating difficulties on welders.
Makes repairs and adjustments, either temporary to keep machine in production or permanent repairs.
Responsible to provide technical expertise for welding operations to assure that weld criteria and quality are within customer requirements per parameters as defined.
Responsible to review and program PLC's as pertains to safety and machine production capability and make necessary corrections.
Responsible to interface with production associates and supervision in problem solving with regard to production, customer, and supplier concerns.
Visually inspect, test, and maintain machinery and equipment as required to meet production and customer requirements.
Authorized to initate action to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformity relating to product, process, and quality system.
Assist and monitor robotic and all other welding equipment (hand welders) PM's.
Responsible for reviewing and analyzing weld test data including for quality control and CI. Initiate, recommend, or provide solutions through designated channels.
Performs other essential functions as assigned.

Requirements
2-4 year technical or bachelor degree.
Technical background in robotics welding (MIG) and 3-5 years experience in automotive manufacturing.
Certified AWS or equivalent is considered a plus.
Should possess strong organizational skills and experience in leading and training production and maintenance personnel.
